The Russian Machine Tool and Metalworking Exhibition METALLOOBRABOTKA is co-organized by the Russian Machine Tool Association and Expocentre Exhibition Center, and is supported by the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, and the European Machine Tool Industry Cooperation Association. The exhibition began in 1984 and is held annually. It is a large-scale and influential machine tool professional exhibition in Russia.
Large exhibition scale: In 2019, the exhibition had a net exhibition area of 80,000 square meters, with more than 1,000 exhibitors from 33 countries and regions participating in the exhibition, attracting more than 30,000 visitors from 57 countries around the world. Internationally renowned machine tool companies all set up large-scale special booths to participate in the exhibition, including AMADA, DMG, EMAG-GRUPPEN, MAZAK, MUELLER MACHINES, SANDVIK, TRUMPF, etc. According to its scale and effect, it has become one of the top ten industrial exhibitions in Europe. The German Machine Tool Association, the Swiss Machine Tool Association, the Italian Machine Tool Association, the Spanish Machine Tool Association, the Taiwan Machine Tool Association, etc. organize large-scale national exhibition groups to participate in the exhibition every session.
Large market demand: According to Samodurov, chairman of the Russian Machine Tool Association, despite the current unstable economic development in Russia, the total output of modern tools and mechanical equipment in the country has been increasing. He said that the output of multi-purpose equipment is declining, while the output of CNC systems and machining centers is increasing year by year. China has become the world's major producer of metalworking equipment, followed by Germany and Japan. These three countries produce about two-thirds of the world's metalworking equipment. The improvement of production levels and the widespread use of metalworking equipment have become important prerequisites for the rapid development of science and technology in the future.
